Internship Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Geologist Intern to support our exploration team during the summer of 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mineral exploration projects, focusing on data analysis, GIS mapping, and technical report review. The position is flexible, allowing for remote work or based in our London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret geological data related to gold, silver, copper, and iron ore exploration projects.
- Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to create and update geological maps and models.
- Review and summarize technical reports, including NI 43-101 compliant documents.
- Assist in compiling and maintaining geological databases.
- Collaborate with the exploration team to identify prospective targets and support project planning.
- Contribute to the assessment of potential investments by evaluating geological data and project viability across Latin America, Africa, and the U.S.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
