Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit mechanical parts and machined components, following engineering drawings and CAD detail.
- Assemble and fit pneumatic and controls/sensor systems to assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components.
- Install and integrate assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components.
- Support installation of full assembly cells both at MAA during commissioning phases and also at customer when required.
- Interpret drawings and CAD data to support fitting of robots, guarding, fixtures, services cabinets and trunking, including laying communications and pneumatic/electrical cabling where applicable.
- Collaborate with toolmakers, fabricators, fitters and engineers including leadership team to deliver automation, casting and improvement projects.
- Support when required casting die fitting activities including dis-assembly and re-assembly of pipework and steels.
- Involvement in problem solving (CI) activities and development of skills to support business improvement philosophy and MAFACT requirements.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Participate in training sessions and development programs as and when required.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested.
