Job Responsibilities

Essential Experience:

  • Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in programming robots
  • Hands-on experience programming robots ABB / Kuka / Fanuc
  • Good understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC, and PLC functionality
  • Good understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theories
  • Knowledge of ISO 10218-1 and ISO 10218-2 robotic safety standards and how they apply
  • Experience in robotic spot welding, mig welding, material handling is required
  • Practical experience and good understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring
  • Sound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipment
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD
  • Proven ability and willingness to train and lead others

Desirable Experience:

  • More than 5 years’ experience in programming robots
  • Previous Automotive T1 experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and automation technologies
  • Simulation experience using Process Simulate
  • Experience using robotic manufacturers native software; RobotStudio, Kuka.Sim, RoboGuide
  • Experience with laser welding, roller hemming, dispense applications
