Job Responsibilities
- Preparation and organization of materials to support MAA Operations in both automation (jig, fixtures, assembly cell build) and other fabrication processes.
- Operation of manual machines including lathes, grinders, saws and milling machines under toolmaker supervision.
- Assist in tool fitting, polishing and bench work tasks under toolmaker supervision.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, interrogate CAD data to extract details for mechanical fixture and tooling builds.
- Organize kitting for both automation and tooling projects.
- Support jig, fixture, and other fabrications for assembly cell builds.
- Disassemble, prepare, assemble and re‑fit activities on casting and press tooling.
- Learn and develop safe working practices on manual machines.
- Ensure adherence to the BOM for assembly fixture builds.
- Collaborate and communicate with toolmakers, engineers and senior staff to meet project timelines.
- Use hand tools under Toolmaker supervision.
- Involve in problem‑solving (CI) activities and develop skills to support business improvement philosophy and MAFACT requirements.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Participate in training sessions and development programs as required.
- Complete any other duties reasonably requested.
