Job Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Projects Engineer the fabricator will be responsible for planning and executing repairs on current equipment and support projects for improving the working environment.
Role Responsibilities
The role entails but is not limited to:
- To work with the maintenance department on repairs
- To work cross functionally on projects and improvement
- Weld and repair guarding and platforms
- Service and repair material handling equipment and trolleys
- To work with contractors on repairs
- To work with contractors on projects
- To design and analyse different repair and project options for their merits
- Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirements
EXPERIENCE :
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience in fabrication of multi metal components
- MIG Welding
- Craft apprenticeship or similar
- City & Guilds or similar qualification in welding
- Experience in multi welding applications
- Ability to understand drawings and specifications
- TIG Welding
- Working within time constraints and good project planning skills
- Good 5S
- Good problem solving skills
- Team player and promotes a team approach to problem solving
- Confidence to challenge the status quo
- Target driven
- Work collaboratively to achieve project/company goals
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good communicator both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Proactive in approach with a “can do attitude”
