Group Summary:

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.

Specific Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership qualification i.e. ELLT
  • IOSH trained
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • MAFACT processes and principals (internal training)
  • Managing People and processes
  • Time served apprenticeship mechanical / electrical
  • Experience in Robotics, PLC programming, Inverters, pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC controls systems and inductive power systems is essential. A working knowledge of Ethernet, Interbus S, Modbus & wireless controls networking is also required. Candidates are required to modify existing PLC code when required
  • Electrical / electronic software engineering
  • Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative, and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the company
  • Preventative maintenance techniques and system controls (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of CDM policies and practices
  • Charter training (internal training)
