Job Responsibilities: Reporting to the Melt Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible for the supervision of production on site, ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer demands.

Role Responsibilities: This role entails but is not limited to:

  • Guarantee a safe working environment
  • Ensure all production processes conform to current quality standards
  • Manufacture parts in time to satisfy customer demand
  • Strive to improve production processes
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actions
  • Daily organisation of Melt Operators
  • Complete performance reviews to improve team performance and flexibility
  • Monitor team performance via KPI’s and OEE
  • Maintain metal chemistry as per specification
  • Training of new employees as required
  • Experience of Disciplinaries and Investigations
  • Experience in PDR’s, PIP’s and Absence management
  • Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirements

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • Proven Production team leader experience
  • Experience of problem solving
  • Use of 5S to improve production environment
  • Proven melt and casting experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Use of KPI’s to track performance

Desirable:

  • Experience within castings sector
  • IOSH Qualification
