Salary: £17,702 plus additional benefits.

Hours: 39 hours per week.

Field-based: Across Magna Dorset region.

Commute: Recommended residence within 30 miles of DT1 2PJ for daily site attendance.

Apprenticeship Duration: 48 months (Course - Level 3).

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Apprentice Electrician at Magna, you will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, acquiring hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, while developing a comprehensive range of skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Installation: Install electrical services such as lighting and socket circuits, full domestic rewires, emergency lighting, and heating systems.
  • Repairs: Carry out day-to-day repairs, including fault finding and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test electrical installations, ensuring they meet safety and compliance standards, and complete relevant certification.
  • College Training: Attend a day-release programme at a local college to enhance theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Safety Training: Train in a safe environment adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships within a supportive network to build confidence and skills.

  • Ability to communicate professionally, follow direction and be eager to learn.
  • Self-driven, with excellent time-keeping and attendance.
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, at C/4 grade or above.
