The role & what you take care of:
We are seeking a Safer Communities Lead. This is a permanent, full-time role dedicated to investigating and managing matters related to anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, and safeguarding. Join a highly professional team committed to exemplary customer service and meaningful community impact. In addition to excellent career development opportunities, successful candidates will have the chance to make a measurable difference within the organisation and the wider community.
- Provide line management for the Community Safety Team and oversee improvement initiatives, leading on Lead on strategic and operational development of Community Safety Service.
- Ensure that teams apply ASB and related policies and procedures consistently and appropriately, manage associated risks, follow best practices, and address challenges in case management.
- Prepare regular performance reports with actionable plans to address areas of low performance.
- Work collaboratively to promote a safe and supportive community culture, demonstrating accountability as appropriate.
- Manage enforcement activities related to housing. (A full role profile is attached to this advert)
What you need to be successful:
- Demonstrates outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with a proven capacity to function strategically within the housing sector.
- Proven experience in service improvement delivery and addressing ASB with successful outcomes.
- Ability to self-manage, analyse data and produce reports.
- Expert knowledge of ASB, Domestic Abuse, Safe-guarding and key housing legislation.
- Experience in team building, drafting complex legal case files, and court presentations.
