37 hours per week (Mon-Fri) Home-based with regular travel across Magna Sites. Permanent role. Department: Building Safety and Compliance. The closing date for applications: 12.02.26 (Midday). We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Contracts Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. This role is critical in supporting Magna's mission to collaboratively create exceptional homes. As an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will oversee various work streams within the building safety domain and manage external contracts related to these efforts. This position will naturally evolve over time, providing you with the opportunity to shape and customise your responsibilities.
- Oversee various work streams in the building safety domain, manage external contracts, and ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Provide technical expertise, project management, and quality assurance of external contract works and projects, while managing budgets effectively.
- Manage and support a team, ensuring accurate and updated documentation, and adherence to KPIs.
While expertise in building and fire safety is beneficial, our priority is a thorough understanding of building regulations and contract management. We are committed to developing skills in fire safety and building qualifications for the ideal candidate, therefore advancing their career with Magna. What you need to be successful:
- Proven experience in a comparable role in a professional environment with contract drafting and/or management experience.
- Proficient understanding of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Sound understanding of the construction processes and guidelines for effective planning and site management, including attention to detail for effective safety and construction checks.
- Demonstrated leadership and organisational skills to motivate teams, manage multiple projects efficiently, collaboratively and in budget while ensuring a positive and safe work environment.
- Extensive understanding and experience in managing contracts and projects, with a thorough knowledge of building regulations, construction requirements, local authority planning mandates, and local authority building control.
