Magna are a leading specialist confectioner of Hollow and Shell-moulding chocolate products, based in Telford and have a firm belief that everything we do is carried out by a team. Every single process in the business is an integrated process and everyone pulling together in the same direction is key to the success of the Company. We wouldn’t be half as successful without our Machine Operators/Minders.

Starting rate: £12 per hour. Day shift, Night shift get £12 per hour + shift allowance of 13.64%.

What is on offer:

  • Fixed Shift patterns available:
    • Days - Monday to Wednesday, 7.30am to 7.30pm
    • Days - Thursday to Saturday, 7.30am to 7.30pm
    • Nights - Sunday to Tuesday, 7.30am to 7.30am
    • Nights - Wednesday to Friday, 7.30pm to 7.30am
    • Days - Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 7.30pm
    • Nights - Monday to Thursday, 7.30pm to 7.30pm

Day-to-day duties include:

  • Operating machines to standard with materials i.e., Cartons or Foil
  • Ensure the machine is kept to the highest standard.
  • May collect downtime data, dependent on what machine you are running.
  • Ensure safe working practices.
  • Maintaining quality products being achieved throughout, by checking print and packaging.
  • May need to work on the production line pack and stacking if your machine is not running.

The successful candidate will:

  • Escalate when and if problems occur.
  • Good communication skills to interact with fellow team members.
  • Team worker.
  • Attendance & Punctuality a necessity.
  • Flexible to work additional shifts if necessary.
  • Experience desirable but not essential.
  • Health & safety understanding.
