We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly organised professional to join our team as a Primary Class Teacher and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.

In this dual role, you will combine outstanding classroom practice with strategic leadership of SEND provision across the school. As a class teacher, you will create a nurturing, engaging and ambitious learning environment where all pupils feel valued, supported and inspired to succeed. As SENDCo, you will lead and coordinate provision for pupils with additional needs, working collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes.

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can champion inclusion, support colleagues in delivering high-quality adaptive teaching, and ensure that SEND provision meets statutory requirements and reflects best practice. If you are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and helping to create a culture where every learner can flourish, we would love to hear from you.

About the School: Magna Carta Primary Academy is a welcoming and inclusive school at the heart of Stansted Mountfitchet. We are proud of our nurturing ethos, high aspirations, and strong sense of community, where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to provide an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic success, personal growth, and wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that values innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence for all.

About the Trust: BMAT is a thriving community of schools, committed to providing an outstanding education for every student attending one of our schools. We create environments where individuals matter, confidence flourishes, and every child can achieve exceptional outcomes. We currently oversee seven secondary academies and five primary academies, primarily located in Harlow, with additional sites in Newham and Stansted. The Trust’s vision is clear - to work together to smash through the barriers that prevent children from becoming confident, high-achieving, and independent individuals.

What can BMAT offer you?

  • Enhanced and flexible PPA
  • Generous employer pension contribution through Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Private healthcare benefits, including 24/7 Doctor line access
  • Home and electronic salary sacrifice scheme
  • Cycle to work
  • Discounted Gym membership through salary sacrifice
  • Lifestyle and discount savings
  • Workplace nursery fee salary sacrifice scheme via Yellownest

BMAT Education is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance, we may also conduct an online search about any shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence to identify any matters that might relate directly to our legal duty to meet safeguarding duties, in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
