Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Lead in Fashion & Textiles based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Academic Lead will oversee the design, delivery, and management of academic programs, ensuring curriculum alignment with industry trends and academic standards. They will provide academic and operational leadership, mentor faculty members, guide students, and contribute to the growth of the Fashion & Textiles department. Collaboration with stakeholders, including accrediting bodies and industry partners, will also form a key component of this role.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in curriculum design and program development, specifically in Fashion & Textiles
Proven teaching, presentation, and student mentoring abilities
Experience in quality assurance, assessment, and academic compliance
Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Solid understanding of trends and practices in the Fashion & Textiles industry
Knowledge of higher education regulations and professional accreditations
Master's degree or higher in Fashion, Textiles, Education, or a related discipline
Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one
Adaptability, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude
Experience in professional or vocational training is a plus
Ability to develop partnerships with industry and academic stakeholders is highly advantageous
