The successful candidate:
We are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate for the role of Teacher of Maths to join our team
at Magna Academy. This will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity for an ambitious
practitioner wishing to further develop their career, to build upon the existing track record of success
within our Maths Department and make a real impact on further driving up attainment and progress
in Maths.
The successful candidate must have a strong subject knowledge. They will be able to offer
engagement, stretch, support and challenge to all students. They will be able to accurately assess the
progress and achievement of students and provide appropriate provision to ensure progress of all is
We also have a TLR available for a suitable candidate for the role of the Key Stage Co-ordinator who
will play a leading and highly visible role within the department, working with the Director of Maths
and Second in Department to ensure the highest standards of learning, teaching and achievement for
our students. The Key Stage Co-ordinator role will focus on all aspects of leading a Key Stage, from
schemes of work, both short and long term, settings and all data including reporting. The role will
also be responsible for establishing proactive and effective interventions, through interactions with
students and their parents, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
We are looking for a highly motivated, outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong presence,
who is ambitious for students, their colleagues and the academy. They will be an excellent teacher of
Maths, who has a passionate belief in the ability for all to succeed. They will be a conscientious and
enthusiastic team player who will be joining a vibrant department.
