Class 1 HGV Drivers Needed - Immediate starts!
About The Role
Our Bridgwater based client is a well-established transport and logistics company with a strong reputation for delivering reliable haulage services across the UK. Operating a modern fleet and working with a wide range of customers, they offer stable, ongoing work in a supportive working environment. They are currently looking for Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a variety of roles, including a choice of trunk deliveries, general haulage deliveries and tramping. This is a great opportunity to join a professional operation that values its drivers and provides consistent work throughout the year.
Pay Rates
- Days: £16.00 per hour
- Nights: £17.00 per hour
- Nights out at £25.00
- Minimum 8hrs paid per shift
Shift Times
- Day Shift: Starts at 07:00-08.00
- Night Shift: Starts at 15:00-17:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Class 1 (C+E) driving duties including trunking, deliveries, or collections
- Complete daily vehicle checks and follow DVSA standards
- Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records
- Communicate with transport planners and depot staff
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience in Class 1 driving (desirable but not essential)
- Knowledge of UK road networks and tachograph rules
- Positive attitude and focus on safety
