Magma Ceramics is a fast-moving company, well established in business.
You will be hardworking, professional, well organised, able to work precisely to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail and working both as an individual and as part of a busy production team.
The position will be mixed and varied covering all aspects of the ceramics manufacturing process. It is important to note that the company offers continual training for its operatives. While fulfilling these duties, PPE will be worn by all operatives; this includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
The key tasks in this role will include:
- Prepping and mixing of ceramics materials
- Loading ceramics into and out of a kiln
- Freeze casting
- Drying
- Cleaning of products
- Quality inspection of products
- Packing
- Manual Handling, up to 25kg bags – Although lifting aids such as hoists & fork lift trucks are available
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Valid FLT Licence
- Ideally have experience in a production role
- Basic mathematics skills
- Basic literacy skills
- Prepared to take random drugs and alcohol tests
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.75 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
