Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: Hayes, West London Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent Start Date: ASAP PAY: £90 – £110 per day We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to support 1:1 in a 4-form entry school in Hayes, OSTED rating good. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate individual to make a real difference in the life of a young learner by providing tailored support to help them thrive in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 support for a student with ASD, ensuring their learning needs are met * Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons and activities that are adapted to the student’s individual needs * Support the student with social and emotional development, using appropriate strategies to promote inclusion and engagement * Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other strategies * Promote positive behaviour and help the student develop social skills and self-regulation Essential Skills & Experience: * Experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD * An understanding of strategies and approaches to supporting children with ASD, including social skills development and emotional regulation * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Desirable: * Experience working with children in a Primary school. * Knowledge of specific interventions or programmes that support children with ASD * A passion for working in special educational needs and supporting diverse learners * Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential If you are a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs, we would love to hear from you!
