Primary SEN Teacher needed - May half term OR September start - permanent opportunity.

We are working with a supportive mainstream primary school in Hemel Hempstead (HP2) who are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to lead their AP Room (Additional Provision) from September. This is a full‑time, long‑term role, supporting a small group of 5 pupils with EHCPs within a structured and specialist setting. The school is introducing a new sensory‑focused curriculum, making this a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering personalised, sensory‑based learning and is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.

Location: Hemel Hempstead, HP2

Start Date: September 2026 or sooner for the right person

Role: Primary SEN Teacher – AP Room

Contract: Full‑time, long‑term

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 - 3:30pm

Pay: M3/UPS3

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teaching within the AP Room, supporting a small group of 5 pupils with EHCPs
  • Plan and deliver a sensory‑based, highly personalised curriculum
  • Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, communication needs, and developmental delay
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff
  • Implement clear routines and structured support strategies
  • Monitor and track progress in line with EHCP targets
  • Create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment
