We are working with a warm and supportive primary school in Edgware HA8 who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with ASD on a 1:1 basis. This is a rewarding full‑time role ideal for someone patient, proactive, and experienced in supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ASD
- Assist with academic, social, and emotional development
- Implement strategies to support engagement, regulation, and independence
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
- Create a calm, structured and supportive learning space
- Support the pupil’s individual learning plan and intervention targets
About You:
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN
- Calm, patient, and consistent in approach
- Able to follow and adapt strategies to meet individual needs
- Confident working 1:1 with upper KS2 pupils
- Reliable, nurturing, and available full-time
