Magic Roundabout Nurseries (MRN) is urgently recruiting a full-time Nursery Chef for our Bristol branch. If you have a passion for cooking, enjoy creating healthy meals, and love working in a childcare environment, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a Nursery Chef at MRN, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s health and development by preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals in a safe and caring environment.
Your Role at MRN
As our Nursery Chef, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the nursery kitchen and ensuring high-quality meals are served daily. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals in line with the nursery menu and dietary requirements
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Ordering and managing stock in collaboration with the Nursery Manager
- Adhering to all food hygiene, health & safety, and allergy regulations
- Ensuring compliance with Safer Food Better Business guidelines
- Working closely with the nursery team to ensure meals are served on time
Employment subject to two satisfactory references and a DBS check
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a reliable and passionate chef who meets the following requirements:
- Full-time availability
- NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality & Catering (or equivalent, such as Safio)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare environment (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, and allergy management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
