About the Role

Magic Number is a brand experience and production agency based in the heart of Bristol. We do everything in house from creative concepts, designs to building all sets and assets at our HUB workshop in Speedwell. We then manage all event logistics from vehicles and trucking to crew install and live event management.

We are a leading event and experiential agency based in the heart of Bristol, working with clients globally. We are looking for a 3D Experiential Designer to join our creative team and support our Lead Designer in delivering exciting and high-quality work across our diverse projects.

As 3D Designer, you will assist in bringing creative ideas to life across a wide range of brand activations, festival builds, experiential pop-ups, sponsorship activations, and immersive events. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and gain hands‑on experience in the fast‑paced world of experiential design.

You will work closely with our Lead Designer, Creative Director, and Production team, supporting on everything from ideation and visuals through to production‑ready assets. The role requires a balance of creativity, technical ability, and a strong eye for detail. We are only looking for people with experience in Brand Activation design experience, a strong understanding of event production and logistic requirement from a set design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Creative Director and Lead designer on creative concepts for projects
  • Support the Lead Designer in delivering client brief responses and producing creative design solutions
  • Assist in creating sketches, illustrations, 2D drawings, and 3D visuals to communicate concepts clearly
  • Work closely with the Production team to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs, with experience and understanding of production materials and limitations
  • Help prepare presentation decks, mood boards, and supporting visuals for pitches and client meetings
  • Assist in sourcing new materials, samples, and references for design development
  • Ensure designs meet brand guidelines and project requirements
  • Support on site visits with senior team members to take accurate measurements and capture key details
  • Stay proactive in bringing fresh ideas, references, and inspiration to the wider team

Key Skills & Experience

  • 2‑3 years’ experience in a design role (agency or events background desirable, but not essential)
  • Proficiency in SketchUp & Vray are essential and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering software (Blender, Cinema4D or similar is an advantage)
  • Ability to create clear and accurate visuals, drawings, and presentations
  • Strong attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • A collaborative team player with good communication skills is essential, all ideas are welcome but ego’s are left at the door
  • Knowlege and willingness to learn new AI assistive tools
  • Enthusiasm and experience in events, festivals, and experiential design
