The contractor prepares all content, documentation, and assets required to transform existing print courseware into high‐quality digital learning experiences. They must have prior experience in English Language Learning (ELL) content development and be experienced in digital learning environments, ensuring they can make informed decisions about pedagogy, activity design, and digital interaction models.

They ensure that digital development vendors receive everything necessary for a successful build, and subsequently review, validate, and provide feedback on vendor output until it meets Pearson standards. The contractor works closely with the Client content team and external digital developers, supporting delivery into platforms such as Maple, PEP, or other digital environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Convert print materials into clear, complete content briefs and specifications, adapting activities and instructions into digital‐friendly formats and interaction models.
  • Use AI tools to draft, rewrite, generate content variations, and perform consistency checks as needed.
  • Produce, review, and standardise content briefs covering structure, interactions, metadata, naming conventions, and asset requirements, ensuring consistency across projects.
  • Set up, organise, and consolidate project documentation, content, and assets in Alfresco to enable accurate and efficient vendor builds.
  • Review digital builds against briefs, templates, platform requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct functional testing, pedagogical review, and UX checks, providing clear, structured feedback and tracking fixes through to approval.
  • Ensure content aligns with Pearson's editorial standards, GSE/CEFR requirements, accessibility expectations, and quality benchmarks.
  • Identify and flag risks, gaps, missing content, or technical constraints early in the process.
