K-12 experience is a MUST
We’re looking for an experienced professional to support content development and refinement for an English Language Learning (ELL) program spanning print and digital components.
Scope of Work:
- Develop and refine program materials across SE, TE, Practice/Workbooks, Grammar/Vocabulary, Leveled Readers/Decodables, Picture/Vocab Cards, Audio Scripts & Recordings, Lesson Plans, Scope & Sequence, Visual Supports, Digital/eText/LMS modules, Assessments (placement, diagnostic, benchmark, summative, item banks), performance tasks, and teacher resources.
- Apply a CEFR-aligned progression (A1–C2) using grade-to-CEFR mapping (e.g., GSE/WIDA crosswalk) to ensure consistency in skills and vocabulary.
- Ensure standards alignment (WIDA/ELD), differentiation (including newcomer/SLIFE tiers), and multilingual supports such as bilingual glossaries.
- Conduct developmental editing, cross-functional reviews, and QA for terminology, consistency, accessibility (alt text, captions/transcripts), and WCAG compliance.
Must-Have Experience:
- Must have written curriculum for K-12
- Proven background in developmental editing for ELL/ESL titles with visible credits or samples across SE/TE/Workbooks and at least one of the following: audio scripts, leveled readers, or assessment artifacts.
- Strong working knowledge of CEFR and WIDA/ELD frameworks, and experience mapping content across grade levels.
- Familiarity with digital-first workflows and publishing tools (e.g., Maple or similar platforms).
