Your job as an Over-the-Phone interpreter involves providing clear and accurate interpretation between languages, assisting non-English speakers in various activities.

Required qualifications (Must have):

  • Native in Chuukese - Level English: B2/C1 level
  • (plus) Experience in the interpretation and good knowledge of medical / legal terminology
  • Computer: Windows 10 or newer, with Pentium or I3 processor. Minimum: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above.
  • Stable and fast internet connection (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 4Mbps Download/Upload.
  • Noise canceling wired USB Headsets
  • Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

Your responsibilities:

  • Providing over the phone interpretation services.
  • Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speakers from source language into target language.
  • Complying with applicable ethics and standards.
  • Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
