Maggs Day Centre is seeking a new Trustee to take the lead on commercial and business strategy for the Board, as we enter our next phase of impact, sustainability and strategic growth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to a well-established local charity supporting people experiencing homelessness across Worcestershire.

About Maggs Day Centre

Maggs supports people experiencing homelessness and severe disadvantage across Worcestershire by providing safe spaces, practical support and pathways towards stability and independence. Our work includes day centre provision, outreach, housing support, harm reduction, essentials provision, and partnership-based health and wellbeing services.

About the Role

As Commercial & Business Lead Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping Maggs’ long‑term sustainability and growth. Working alongside the Board, CEO and Senior Leadership Team, you will bring commercial insight to support the development of sustainable, mission‑aligned income streams and partnerships. This role will help ensure Maggs continues to respond effectively to the complex and changing needs of people experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice on commercial development, income diversification and sustainability
  • Support the development of partnerships with local authorities, NHS services, businesses and voluntary sector organisations
  • Contribute to the identification and development of new income streams, including social enterprise and commissioned services
  • Offer insight into commercial trends across housing, health and social care systems
  • Provide constructive challenge to ensure growth aligns with Maggs’ mission and values
  • Act as an ambassador for Maggs within business and commercial networks

Who We’re Looking For
