Short Summary
Prepare and conduct user research to discover customer needs for complex problems in the healthcare context. Contribute to successful delivery of customer value by creating prototypes to appropriate level of fidelity to test and iterate on solutions with customers. Be a supportive voice in the design team and role model best practices in design.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Make user-informed decisions about solutions by forming a deep understanding of user problems.
- Define and create design artefacts, from user journeys, screen workflows and UX analysis to detailed wireframes, prototypes and final designs.
- Illustrate user journeys and information architecture using storyboards, user flows and sitemaps.
- Work embedded in cross-functional product development teams.
- Lead design efforts across multiple product streams, ensuring consistency and alignment with the broader product strategy.
- Create and evolve design mock-ups efficiently and to appropriate level of fidelity (including hi-fi when required).
- Align teams to customer and business priorities by regularly presenting information, educating and providing context, leveraging forums such as standups, Product All Hands, guilds, etc.
- Identify opportunities for improving UX/UI across products.
- Drive the evolution of the design system and advocate for scalable, reusable design patterns across teams.
- Collaborate with areas of the business to assess the feasibility of ideas.
- Influence product direction by contributing to roadmap planning and prioritization discussions with product and engineering leadership.
- Other duties as reasonably required by the business.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a UI/UX designer, including demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and ownership of end-to-end design for complex product areas.
- Strong problem solving experience β applying design thinking to solve complex customer problems, rather than fulfilling requirements.
- Technology and/or health Industry experience is desirable.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence tools desirable.
- Being a strong team-player is required β weβre all in this together.
