Magenta Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Estimator for a leading fit out and refurbishment contractor operating across the UK, delivering high-quality solutions for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, logistics hubs and commercial fit outs.
Job Spec
- Review new tenders to ensure alignment with company objectives
- Distribute tender packages to competitive subcontractors within 48 hours
- Attend site visits and inspections to assess project scope and support accurate pricing
- Analyse subcontractor quotes, direct costs, prelims, and associated risks
- Compile and adjudicate tenders from start to finish, including bid documentation and cost breakdowns
- Submit tenders in line with company procedures and attend post-tender interviews
- Monitor bid success trends and client engagement
- Manage online tender portals and use various estimating software
- Work on multiple tenders ranging from £25k to £10M
- Produce Schedules of Works, Bills of Quantities, and rate compilations
- Prepare client presentation packs and respond to post-tender queries
- Support value engineering and internal handovers to the construction team
- Promote within the supply chain and support team coverage during absences
- Knowledge around groundworks and structures would be beneficial
