We are recruiting for a skilled Fire Door Installer for a building services company based around the Dartford area. The successful candidate will ensure all fire door works are delivered in line with current regulations, certification requirements, and industry best practice.
This role suits someone who is technically competent, detail‑driven, and comfortable working independently across live operational sites.
Key Responsibilities- Install new fire doors and associated ironmongery to certified standards.
- Carry out maintenance, adjustments, and remedial works on existing fire doors.
- Inspect and assess fire door condition, compliance, and performance.
- Produce accurate documentation, reports, and photographic evidence of works.
- Work safely and professionally within hospitality, healthcare, and other commercial environments.
- Liaise with site managers, clients, and other contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations and certification requirements.
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery.
- BM Trada Q‑Mark Fire Door Installation certification or equivalent (e.g., Certifire, IFC, FDIS).
- Clean DBS check (Not required to have one but will be submitted to getting one).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of fire door regulations, standards, and installation best practice.
- Ability to work independently and produce compliant, high‑quality workmanship.
