We are looking for an experienced Automatic Door & Gate Service Engineer to join our team, supporting a prestigious residential contract spanning seven luxury buildings—six located across Canary Wharf and Greenwich, and one in South West London. You will be tasked with reactive maintenance, and specialist servicing of automatic doors, gates, and roller shutters across high-end residential developments. This is a stable, well-supported role with excellent benefits and long-term development opportunities.
Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary: £50,000–£52,000 (DOE)
- Hours: Mon–Thurs: 07:30–17:00; Friday: 07:30–16:00
- £160 monthly travel allowance
- 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
- Private health insurance (After 3 Month Probation)
- Company vehicle (if applicable), uniform, tools & fuel card
- Training across multiple door and gate systems
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PPM and servicing on automatic door closers
- Service and maintain automatic and automated sliding gates
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on roller shutters
- Install, test, and commission new door and gate systems when required
- Attend and resolve reactive callouts across the residential estate
- Complete accurate service sheets and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience servicing and/or installing automatic doors and gates
- Familiarity with a range of door and gate manufacturers and systems
- Experience with roller shutters (preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Relevant engineering/technical qualification (desirable)
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Full UK driving licence
