About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Servicing & Remedial Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, maintaining, and carrying out remedial works on a variety of residential and commercial fire sprinkler systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer who can work independently, identify system defects, provide detailed reports, and undertake minor remedial works. Experience with wet riser systems would be highly advantageous.
The majority of work will be based across London, although occasional travel further afield may be required. Accommodation and meals will be provided when overnight stays are necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, inspect, and maintain residential and commercial sprinkler systems.
- Carry out small remedial works following inspections and servicing visits.
- Identify faults and non-compliances within sprinkler and fire protection systems.
- Produce clear and accurate service reports outlining defects and recommended remedial actions.
- Survey existing sprinkler installations to assist with quotation and estimation processes.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant industry standards and company procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
- Work independently and manage daily workloads effectively.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (optional, with additional earning potential).
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems.
- Good understanding of residential and commercial sprinkler installations.
- Ability to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate remedial works.
- Experience completing detailed service reports and documentation.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Desirable
- Experience servicing and inspecting wet riser systems.
- Knowledge of relevant sprinkler standards and regulations.
- Experience carrying out site surveys and estimating support.
