Overview

Join Magellan Aerospace as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing activities across machine shop, treatments and assembly. You will drive process development, tooling and continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency. Collaborate with production and engineering to solve problems and implement changes, shaping manufacturing capability for aerospace programs. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across Machine Shop, Treatments and Assembly functions
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering activities to support production requirements and customer commitments
  • Offer structured technical support and problem-solving for manufacturing issues
  • Develop, implement and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality and cost
  • Manage Tool Design to ensure fit-for-purpose, cost-effective tooling for production
  • Prioritize engineering activities across multiple areas with competing requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean and data-driven methods
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with process, tooling and documentation
  • Lead Engineering Changes in manufacturing areas
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Operations and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Manufacturing Engineers and other staff
  • Support adoption of new manufacturing technologies, equipment and processes
  • Ensure processes comply with customer, regulatory, quality and company requirements
  • Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues
  • Contribute to capacity planning, capital investment and business cases for equipment and tooling
  • Promote continuous improvement, technical excellence and collaboration across teams

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience in Aerospace or similar industry
  • CAD proficiency (Catia V5 preferred)
  • Experience with budget maintenance and control
  • Knowledge of GD&T and SPC techniques
  • Working knowledge of TMS systems
  • Strong inspection process knowledge for major tool assemblies
  • Good practical coordination skills
  • English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Confident in making technical decisions and presenting to multi-disciplinary teams
