In this full-time HSE Advisor role at Magellan Aerospace in Llay, you will support HSE performance and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.
You will collaborate with site leadership to advise on health, safety and environmental matters and coordinate training, audits, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Manager to deliver target HSE performance aligned with goals
- Integrate with the site Senior Management Team to provide HSE guidance
- Support investigation of accidents/incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Provide accurate HSE performance reports to the HSE Manager
- Coordinate and arrange HSE training programs and requirements
- Maintain records for ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and audits
- Create and review safety alerts, toolbox talks, and lessons learned
- Organize and contribute to HSE committee meetings and present site achievements
- Conduct internal site audits/inspections and liaise with external auditors
- Review risk assessments and safe systems of work with department managers on new processes
- Prepare statutory HSE reports as required
- Maintain a regular shop floor presence to promote safe practices and address issues
- Coordinate with Occupational Health to support site health surveillance
- Key requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (required)
- Experience with HSE in aerospace manufacturing preferred
- Solid knowledge of HSE processes (risk assessments, COSHH, fire safety, RIDDOR, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred
- Ability to engage with regulators and authorities as needed
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- IT literate, proficient in MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage with employees, managers, and contractors
- Approachable and collaborative
