Position Summary


Euravia Engineering & Supply Co Ltd, a part of Magellan Aerospace Kelbrook, Lancashire has an exciting opportunity for Inspection Team Leader (Internal Only). This is a full‑time, permanent position. Weekdays are Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Job location: Colne Road, Kelbrook, Lancashire BB18 6SN.

Essential Responsibilities



  • Competent in all aspects of inspection activities

  • Engine component release to service (Form 1 / 8130)

  • Manage the team day to day to ensure priorities are aligned with business needs, performance levels are maintained and objectives delivered

  • Train new members and ensure competence assessments are completed timely

  • Oversee the completion of required activities within the team including but not limited to:

    • Daily, weekly and monthly control checks

    • Consumable requisitions

    • Equipment calibration



  • Continuously review and ensure processes are compliant with regulatory standards

  • Lead efforts to streamline project workflows and reduce overall booked hours

  • Attend operational and compliance meetings as required; main point of contact for inspection/NDT during compliance audits

  • Develop and implement or lead CI projects to increase utilisation and eliminate waste with support of compliance/engineering team

  • Communicate effectively across the site and adopt correct escalation procedures when needed

  • Maintain a cost‑conscious focus regarding hours booked, consumables and waste

  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and drive implementation of future business strategy for inspection department

  • Ensure compliance with Euravia’s Quality Systems

  • Maintain highest 6S standard

  • Ensure compliance with H&S requirements and liaise with H&S manager as necessary

  • Complete any other reasonable tasks as designated by Line Manager



Position Requirements


Essential Criteria



  • Good level of education

  • Minimum 3 years of aerospace experience (MRO preferable)


Desirable Criteria



  • Supervisory experience

  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft engines, specification and standards
