Position Summary
Euravia Engineering & Supply Co Ltd, a part of Magellan Aerospace Kelbrook, Lancashire has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager.
- Full-time-permanent position
- Working Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 7:45am – 4:30pm / Friday 7:45am – 12:15pm (flexibility to work additional hours in support of the business plus some travel will be required)
- Job location: Colne Road, Kelbrook, Lancashire BB18 6SN
Core Responsibilities
- Assume full P&L accountability for the business and develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic business plan aligned with corporate strategy.
- Lead cultural change and drive continuous improvement to transform the facility into a world-class operation.
- Build and develop a strong senior management team, coaching and mentoring functions to deliver growth and operational excellence.
- Maintain operational compliance with relevant safety agencies such as EASA and CAA and represent the site at audits.
- Drive financial performance by setting measurable goals, overseeing budgets, and reporting key metrics.
- Ensure the divisional operating structure is optimally aligned to achieve efficiencies and support long-term growth.
- Collaborate with HR to develop the site’s senior leadership team and nurture future leaders.
- Champion operational excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Aerospace, Engineering or similar; MBA, Chartered membership or Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.
- P&L responsibility in a relevant sized company or division; senior management experience in precision or custom engineering manufacturing.
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain; knowledge of SAP desirable.
- Demonstrated mentoring, people development and talent management experience.
- Excellent relationship building skills and ability to travel 10‑20% within the region.
- Project Management certification an asset.
- Project Management Background and MRO experience highly desirable but not essential.
- Aerospace industry experience an asset.
