An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a growing company that designs advanced lighting control systems used in landmark buildings worldwide. The successful applicant will become part of a small, friendly, and highly skilled team, collaborating on a variety of interesting projects. This role primarily focuses on hardware design and development, from schematic capture through to PCB layout. You’ll also be involved in product testing and fault finding, as well as working closely with Software and Mechanical Engineers on projects. While the role is predominantly hardware-focused, there is potential for greater involvement in software development in the future if this aligns with your aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design PCBs for integration into new and existing systems
- Schematic capture for digital and analogue circuit design
- Design for EMC compliance
- Component selection for circuit designs
- Product testing and fault finding on returns
- Training Commissioning Engineers on products
Required Skills & Commitments:
- Commercial experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of both analogue and digital electronics design
- Willingness to work onsite, five days per week in High Wycombe
- Full right to work in the UK
Desirable (Non-Essential) Experience:
- Proficiency with Altium CAD
- Experience in designing systems involving:
- IoT
- Bluetooth
- RF or lighting systems
- Sensors
