We are currently recruiting for an IT Assistant at Magdalen College. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small IT team to provide and support IT and AV facilities on site for staff, students and visitors in the College and manage its computer systems and networks. In line with modern IT, the duties of this post constantly evolve and change in response to the rapid advance of both hardware and software technology, and the growing demands of the user population.
Applicants should have experience in a similar role providing on-site and remote IT and AV support to staff at all levels of an organisation. Good experience of Ethernet and Wi-Fi networking. Broad experience of supporting and deploying desktop operating systems including Windows and Mac OS and knowledge of mobile operating systems including Android and iOS. Knowledge of Windows Server, Virtualisation and Linux would also be beneficial.
