You will work with colleagues and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business to produce credible policy positions to government. You'll draft reports, consultation responses and represent MAG's views to external stakeholders at meetings and events. You'll be expected to analyse and respond to a range of complex topics, from tax and regulatory policy to skills and decarbonisation.

What will make you successful?

  • You’ll have a BA or BSc Hons in subjects such as politics, economics or public policy.
  • A Masters degree would be advantageous and relevant degree apprenticeships would also be considered.
  • A background in economics and/or quantitative data analysis, and experience of providing data-driven insights would be helpful.
  • You’ll have a strong understanding of Parliamentary process and a good knowledge of the workings of government in order to weigh policy risk to the business.
