CAVU is continuing its digital and data transformation, and we’re looking for a Data Engineer to help shape the next phase. You’ll be joining a centralised, expert data team that’s moving fast towards a modern, event-driven architecture. Our work underpins critical business decisions across product, commercial, and operations - and this role will have a big say in what we build next.
You’ll be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable data pipelines using PySpark, SQL and Databricks - enabling our analytics, BI and data science colleagues to unlock real value across the business. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who’s passionate about data quality, modern engineering practices, and continuous learning.
About You
You’re a problem-solver who enjoys working collaboratively and is comfortable experimenting with new tools and approaches. You have a strong foundation in data engineering and are ready to grow your expertise further - especially with tools like Databricks.
Here’s what will help you thrive in this role:
- Essential experience:
- 2-5 years in data engineering or a related field
- Strong PySpark and advanced SQL skills
- Practical experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control practices
- Experience using Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB)
- Working knowledge of GCP and/or Azure in multi-cloud environments
- Familiarity with BigQuery or deployment automation tools like Harness
