Based at Manchester Airport, this is a 2‑year fixed‑term contract with flexible hybrid working.

As SAP Lead Data Analyst, you will join the Finance Transformation Programme, replacing the BW/BPC landscape with SAP Datasphere and Business Data Cloud (BDC) and SAC as the reporting and planning layer as part of the S/4HANA transformation.

Role Summary

You’ll work as part of a two‑person analytics team focused on the data platform layer. There is no BW migration; everything is built from scratch, making early design decisions critical. The role involves:

  • Designing the green‑field platform (space design, data flows, replication flows, semantic modelling)
  • Developing standards, documentation and an approach to gathering data requirements
  • Ensuring requirements are captured correctly and reports are delivered
  • Enabling the transition from basic reporting to insights and analytics that drive business intelligence and decision making

Qualifications

  • Exposure to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and its integration architecture
  • Experience with SAP Datasphere – data flows, replication flows, semantic modelling
  • Green‑field platform design experience (building from scratch, not migration)
  • Strong data modelling – fact/dimension design, semantic layers, governance
  • Ability to articulate data architecture to Finance and business stakeholders
  • Ability to review and challenge technical designs for long‑term supportability
  • Working knowledge of SAC as a consumption layer
  • Good understanding of Data Governance and its implementation within projects
  • Ability to produce complex low‑level design documentation for Data, BI and Cloud solutions
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA Finance data structures – Universal Journal, cost centre/profit centre
  • Experience in a RISE with SAP / clean core environment
  • Knowledge of non‑SAP data integration into Datasphere
  • SAP certification in Datasphere or BW/4HANA
  • Aware of Joule and embedded AI capabilities within BDC
