Overview
Hospitality Chef – Based at East Midlands Airport. Temporary contract until 31 October 2026. 24 hours per week. £14.79 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing and cooking all varieties of foods.
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment and prepare foods to be cooked.
- Perform preparation procedures such as washing, peeling, cutting and shredding as required.
- Maintain the food offering to meet operating standards and presentational quality.
- Manage stock levels, receive deliveries, store correctly, rotate stock and maintain inventories.
- Ensure floors are clean, equipment is cleaned and stored correctly; comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately and assist with waste removal as required.
- Assist in one-to-one training of new staff, including subcontracted supplier staff, to uphold high levels of presentation, hospitality and service.
- Qualities and Experience
- A solid background in hospitality and service sectors with a track record of high-end delivery.
- Team player with a first-class customer service approach.
- Demonstrated flexibility across long trading days.
- Numerical and analytical skills to process data and deliver on budgets.
- Computer literacy on mainstream PC applications.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Early shifts can start as early as 2:00 am; late shifts can finish as late as 11:00 pm. Lounges open 7 days a week.
