The Role

We are recruiting for a Chef to join our Airport Hospitality Team. Our Hospitality Lounges provide our customers with the best start to their journey.

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing and cooking all varieties of foods.
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare foods to be cooked, including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding as applicable.
  • Maintain the food offering to ensure presentation meets operating standards.
  • Maintain stock levels, receive deliveries, store correctly, rotate stock, and monitor inventory.
  • Ensure floors are swept and mopped or vacuumed; ensure equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and stored correctly.

Assist with clearing and organising the kitchen to uphold high hygiene standards.

  • Dispose of waste, including recycling, in the appropriate manner and remove it to the designated location if required.
  • Liaise with subcontracted suppliers, airline representatives, handling agents, and booking agents to develop positive working relationships for efficient lounge operation and development.
  • Assist in one-to-one training of new staff, including subcontracted supplier staff, to uphold high standards of presentation, hospitality, and service.

  • A solid background in hospitality and service sectors with a proven track record of high-end delivery.
  • A team player with a first-class approach to customer service.
  • Experience and flexibility across long trading days.
  • Numerical and analytical skills to process and interrogate data to provide performance information and deliver on budgets.
  • Computer literacy in mainstream PC applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and build solid relationships both internally and externally.
