Overview

As an Airside Assurance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining oversight of airside standards at Stansted Airport. Your role involves reviewing aerodrome safety incidents, monthly occurrence data, and investigation reports to identify safety trends and determine effective action plans. You will promote a just safety culture through active engagement with airside stakeholders, support initiatives to reduce operational accidents and incidents, and assist the Airside Safety Compliance Manager with audits and inspections. The position requires you to be on call during winter months and will include additional pay for these months.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of airside standards and safety performance.
  • Review aerodrome safety incidents, monthly data, and investigation reports.
  • Identify safety trends and develop effective action plans.
  • Promote a just safety culture through engagement with airside stakeholders.
  • Support the development of initiatives to reduce operational accidents and incidents.
  • Assist with audits and inspections to uphold standards and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide on‑call support during winter months, receiving additional payment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong, working experience in aviation airside operations and aviation compliance.
  • Confident understanding of CAA regulations and their application to airside standards.
  • Knowledge of airside driving regulations and hands‑on expertise in GSE operations and ground handling activities across a variety of aircraft types.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
  • Well‑developed analytical abilities.
  • Residence in the UK for the last three years and a clean, valid UK licence.
