The role involves acting as the subject matter expert providing Primavera P6 EPPM & Oracle/SAP Financial application knowledge. Responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining project budget data including schedules, actuals and forecasts.
- Analysing progress reported against work schedules and producing reports on projects’ progress, performance and forecasts.
- Contributing to multiple projects to provide programme level plans, budgets, schedules, forecasts and reports.
- Line managing the team.
Key accountabilities include:
- Providing weekly status reporting on key business projects to the Project Controls Manager and Head of Project Services.
- Liaising with Directors & business level approvers of both the CAPEX & Gateway process to track progress and resolve approval issues.
- Producing near-term (3-month look-ahead) capital projects cash-flow forecasts for MAG Finance.
- Producing up-to-date medium-term (12-month rolling) forecasts of capital projects cash-flow.
- Providing longer-term project and programme information for long-term plans.
- Being a key stakeholder in the development, planning and control of the overall Capital Expenditure plan for MAG.
- Tracking payments and cash-flow forecasting for accrual purposes.
- Managing retentions.
- Ensuring timesheet compliance and reporting on internal charges.
- Working with the MAG Supply Chain team to develop capital expenditure efficiencies.
- Auditing commercial management services and Contractors' commercial management.
- Line management responsibility for the Project Controllers.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM enterprise tool.
- Technical ability to update & manipulate the system for bespoke reports while maintaining control & governance.
- Skills to ensure smooth deployment and achieve planned business goals.
- Ability to specify technical environment for implementation and provide installation support.
- Experience in integrating Primavera P6 with other enterprise systems and custom report writing.
- Knowledge of industry scheduling, profile & cost tools, including Primavera & SAP.
- Experience in providing near-term & medium-term project cash-flow forecasts.
- Membership of RICS or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- A background in a commercial role (Quantity Surveying etc.) is preferred.
- Experience in delivering complex multi-stakeholder projects & programmes to tight regulatory deadlines.
