The role

As an ER Specialist, you will provide advice and guidance on highly complex employee relations matters in alignment with Company Policy and relevant employment legislation to line managers. Your responsibilities will encompass the full range of ER cases, including early resolution, conflict, misconduct, health and wellbeing, capability, reorganisation, and ACAS/Employment Tribunal cases.

We have 2 different opportunities available to join our growing team:

  • Role 1: ER Case Specialist
    Responsible for managing a high volume of complex ER cases, ensuring the wellbeing, inclusion, and safe resolution of cases, assessing the colleague experience throughout the journey and implementing interventions to provide support and mitigate risks. You will provide timely and accurate advice on all aspects of employment law and company policies and procedures, while considering business and commercial needs. You will deliver services and processes in accordance with agreed policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements and accurately log all activities on the case management systems to ensure transparency and record-keeping.
  • Role 2: ER Specialist Training & Education
    Responsible for upskilling and supporting managers to effectively handle employee relations matters in line with company policy, procedures, and employment legislation. Partnering closely with the ER team to identify and prioritise development needs using MI data, historical investigations and cases trends. You will build manager capability by designing and delivering blended learning approaches and training sessions on ER processes and HR best practice.

What will make you successful in the role?

You\’ll have (or be working towards) a CIPD Level 5 qualification and have extensive experience of managing complex Employee Relations (ER) matters, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary cases, bullying & harassment, performance management, absence, and redundancy. You\’ll possess a strong understanding of employment law and ACAS codes, with a proven ability to manage cases end-to-end with a strategic and risk-assessment focus. A track record of success in high-volume, fast-paced environments, consistently meeting SLAs and delivering impactful outcomes, is essential. You\’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships, excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet SLAs.
