The role
This role provides essential functional support to the Procurement and Contracts team, with a specific focus on Facilities Management (FM) spend across multiple contracts. You’ll be responsible for managing FM-related expenditure, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and overseeing post-contract administration. Working closely with senior business stakeholders, you’ll ensure best practice contract management and value for money through the assessment of Applications for Payment.
A solid understanding of NEC contracts and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is key, as is the ability to collaborate across the MAG Group to promote the “One MAG” principle. You’ll contribute to the delivery of category strategies aligned with MAG’s values and goals, driving year‑on‑year savings and service improvements.
The role also involves supporting contract compliance, developing SRM models, and using electronic sourcing tools such as SAP, Ariba, and ideally Cemar. Flexibility to travel across MAG Airports is required.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute professional with Quantity Surveyor experience, ideally within Facilities Management or similar categories. The successful candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, having led high‑performing teams and worked collaboratively to deliver results.
You will be degree‑educated in a business‑related discipline and hold MRICS accreditation. A deep understanding of pre‑ and post‑contract management, dispute resolution, claims handling, and supplier relationship management is essential. The ideal candidate will be an excellent negotiator with proven ability to develop robust business cases.
A thorough working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts and commercial models is required. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure, and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines are key to success in this role.
