About The Role: The Data Protection Compliance Coordinator will support the execution of MAG’s Data Protection and Privacy Strategy. The role holder will be responsible for assisting the group in its compliance with information governance and data protection best practice and associated laws and regulations. This role involves supporting the development and delivery of data protection awareness initiatives and training, as well as managing the day‑to‑day handling of enquiries and transactional requests for the DPO team. When required, the coordinator will also provide advice and support to business areas on breach‑related incident management, while also assisting in the analysis of data and the preparation of clear, informative briefings on data protection and information governance controls for stakeholders.
What Will Make You Successful: The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, including data protection, GDPR, confidentiality, and cyber security, together with knowledge of privacy by design principles, including records of processing and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). They will have a working knowledge of industry or regulatory frameworks and control standards, and an ability to assess levels of risk and recommend appropriate mitigation actions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and an ability to confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of data protection legislation. They will have a strong customer‑focused approach that enables them to manage expectations effectively, deliver a high‑quality experience, and build long‑term relationships. They will have excellent IT skills across the Microsoft suite and understand how to use these applications in line with organisational policies, as well as experience in taking clear, accurate, and timely minutes in large or complex meetings. Due to the nature of this role, candidates must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
