Day working, Monday to Friday. Office based, some working from home also available.

The role:

• Lead on security related process improvements and business changes and be the subject matter expert to influence stakeholders across the business when introducing new products into the operation.
• Work closely with others to deliver security products and performance improvements in line with the short and long-term business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve Terminal Security efficiency and effectiveness, utilising performance management information to motivate and mobilise the Security Managers / Security Performance Managers and front line teams to drive continuous performance improvement against KPI service standards.

Accountabilities:

• Track and drive our most important business metrics, proactively identifying trends or risks within our data and conduct root cause analysis to identify corrective action.
• Oversee the day to day Security Operation, ensuring resourced and able to deliver with assets available through liaising with Resourcing and Engineering Departments.
• Create, develop and deliver a 12-month operating plan for terminal security focused on engagement and productivity.
• Lead and drive business planning activities with the planning team, highlighting and delivering opportunities to enhance business performance and efficiencies.
• Lead on people change activities and implement them into the operational environment and track progress.
• Responsible for the end to end delivery of process, technology and people change, developing a culture of continuous improvement.
• Measure the success of change programmes, ensuring we deliver business case outcomes and measure the effectiveness of change.
• Deputise for the Head of Security and other operational roles as required.

What will make you successful in the role?

• Demonstrable experience in managing change and departmental growth in a collaborative manner.
• Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills at all management levels to ensure stakeholders deliver outcomes that meet regulatory and operational requirements.
• Has a rigorous approach to problem solving and analytics. Can produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from analysis.
• Must have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Has a continuous improvement mindset and demonstrable experience of improving performance by introducing more efficient working practices and/or technology.
• Proven planning capability essential.
• The ability to understand the strategic impacts of your decision considering the impact on the wider business and teams.
• We are ideally looking for people who have previous Aviation, Airport, Airline or Transport Industry experience.
