Fixed Term Contract leading to a permanent role

Competitive salary starting at £22,105.50, with periodical increases throughout the apprenticeship.

The role: At MAG, we’re proud to offer modern apprenticeship schemes that support our ambitious growth plans, building strong internal talent pipelines for future roles and developing the next generation of Engineering Technicians through fully funded, industry-recognised qualifications, aligned with the UK Engineering Council’s competency specifications. Our Engineering Apprentices immerse themselves in the practical side of their role from day one, exploring all aspects of engineering at the airport—from mechanical and electrical to electronics and software—while performing an integral role in ensuring passengers have a seamless journey with us.

Through our partnership with Harlow College, we’ve been able to influence the academic aspects of the course, ensuring it meets the requirements of the role while developing the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to achieve the Level 3 qualification. Apprentices will learn to use IT tools, understand engineering problem-solving, and follow safety regulations. The programme will also cover risk mitigation, fault-finding, quality management, and sustainability.

We’re looking for an Engineering Apprentice to join our team immediately to help deliver high-quality, reliable service to passengers, tenants, and other customers through effective and efficient maintenance and repair of airport assets. This includes completing work in accordance with prevailing processes and contributing towards the continuous improvement of the maintenance service.

What will make you successful in the role?

  • Mathematics, English and at least one Science subject at GCSE grade 4 or above is required
  • A passion for Engineering
  • A commitment to complete the Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • The ability to work within a collaborative and respectful team environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive in approach
  • Candidate must be aged 18 by 1st July 2026
  • Full manual driving licence, or working towards their licence
