About the role: The Group Aviation Insight Analyst will be responsible for providing strategic analysis and insights to support aviation growth, working closely with the business development functions across Manchester Airport Group’s three airports. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation data, strong analytical skills, and the ability to draw a story from often multiple and conflicting data sources effectively. You will analyse and interpret aviation data, including passenger numbers, flight schedules, and market trends to identify new destinations or growth opportunities. Conduct regular research to identify industry trends and societal trends within the airports catchment areas and monitor and report on the performance of airlines and routes, providing actionable insights to enable aviation teams to build on opportunities. You will also work on developing and maintaining forecasting models to predict future trends in passenger traffic and airline performance. You will work closely with other internal teams to align insights with business objectives and prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders, effectively communicating key findings and recommendations.
What will make you successful in this role: You will need proven experience in an analytical role preferably within the aviation industry. Technically, you will be proficient in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear insights through PowerPoint and written papers. We also want you to be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and a passion for aviation would also be great, with a desire to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
