Overview
Join MAG (Airports Group) as an ATC Watch Manager at East Midlands Airport – the UK’s top freight hub and a gateway for global trade. This role supports the airport’s air traffic services team in a fast‑moving, complex regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Air Traffic Control Officers and Assistants during your watch, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate all airside and air traffic‑related activities, responding to incidents in line with the Aerodrome Manual and MATS Part 2.
- Contribute to the EMA Duty Management team, ensuring seamless trade and excellent passenger experience.
- Maintain compliance with safety management systems and safety reporting processes.
Qualifications
- ADI and APS ratings, minimum five years as a UK civilian ATCO.
- OJTI and Assessor ratings (Investigator desirable).
- High standard of ATC skills and operational competence.
- Experience managing staff, resource allocation and shift coordination.
- Familiarity with SMS and safety reporting.
